    Celebrations

Thinking about Gem ' s OH( S ) winning at Golf and them having a well deserved celebration meal , got me thinking about how I love to hear about other people's success
It's really nice to hear how much people achieve and how they celebrate With so much doom and gloom in the news it's always nice when someone has something nice to tell .
I know S has played hard to win and it's a well deserved win I bet she was buzzing 😊
Then we hear of GC exam results or new Babies arriving or like Jane J getting her GD back after all these years , Libra's DD getting home from Hospital and her move almost there and I think , Yes there are good times to be thankful for , It's not such a bad world after all is it 😆

    I agree with you Oma.

But, i think some people thrive on doom and gloom.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

      Oma, a lovely post
I agree success and happiness should be celebrated, and I think it makes us feel happier to hear about these things, rather than all the Brexit/Climate Change/every-food-is-bad-for-you type of stuff we hear all the time.

When anything gloomy comes on the news I always say to OH that it's because of Brexit or down to us Oldies!

It is good to hear positive news though and it makes us feel happy to learn of people working hard and getting praise and recognition for their achievements. I think as a race, we tend not to 'blow our own trumpets'.
So well done to all those who've had something positive happen to them however small or momentous it's been.

As I have said I love to hear other peoples good news , I also get excited for someone if they have bought something new My SIL said I encourage her to spend too much money hahaha but I keep telling her they only young once and you cant take it with you , They both work hard have no children at home so why not have that holiday or buy the latest gadget if that's what they want to do

Oma - I so agree. Good news is infectious - I think it makes us all a little happier.

Sometimes it's just very small things that make me happy, like drawing the curtains in a morning and seeing the new day (even when it's raining!)

What makes me feel better is getting through a day without hearing the word Brexit.👍🙉
