They say it's easy, but ...

My OH has a laptop, running Windows, and he got a subscription to Office 365 which gives him 5 'copies' of the package. DS1 installed it for him some months ago, and we decided it would be useful to install one of the spare copies on my desktop.

It clearly says is can be installed in a Mac - what could be difficult about that!!

So, two hours later - I've set up a MS Account and gone through various security checks. After a scare on FB a few days ago I changed my email password and installed two-step verification, and I was relieved to see it works! Then MS Installer got all upset because I've got my Mac set to ignore 'unidentified developers'. So I overrode that after a bit of searching. Now it says it's got the MS Office installer package but the file name includes the word 'Part', so I wondered if something was missing. Then I read that the file name can vary slightly. So I don't know if is this a normal variation or hasn't it got the whole Installer file? Are you all keeping up with this? If so, you're doing better than me!!

Of course, it's possible that it is doing the installation but with our lousy internet service it could take days!

As for installing it on my phone or iPad ...... Daisy, just don't go there.

I'm ready to give up!!! Grrrr ........

Right now, you’ve set up an MS account and you’ve changed your password and taking into the consideration that ...all things being equal when there is an s in the month, and the sum of two parts equal the whole part and the wind is blowing from the south and no parking on a day with y in the word you need to..... no wait let’s start again. You’ve set up a MS account ....no it’sno good I have had to go and have a lie down
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi - that can't be right - there's no Y in today! Oooops, it seems there is!!! That's the whole project scuppered then.

Shem - you've really got me worried now.

For a bit of light entertainment I thought I'd also install something called OneDrive. I've no idea what it is, but it looked as though there was oodles of lovely Cloud storage. That is having a similar success rate!

I think I'm going to need a bit more than luck on this one!!!

Gem, blissfully unaware might be appropriate. It took ages to transfer less than 100 photos on to it! 😨😢😟
