I'm not a great cat fan but I hate the idea of any animal abandoned or neglected.
    I love his name-suits him.Who chose it I wonder?

Daisy we were really very surprised he didn't have a chip. He may have been inside only, many Devons are, and they didn't bother. This is shortsighted because inside cats do sometimes get out. He is around ten years old and has only three teeth. Also he came in with diarrhoea and we are struggling to get this under control. Perhaps an owner just couldn't cope with vet bills. All cats that are rehomed by Cats Protection are microchipped so at least they will be traceable if lost in the future.
I chose the name Clover and I agree it does suit him. He is bright as he responds to the name when called already. He decided it was time for breakfast at 4:30 a.m. today by jumping up at the kitchen door handle and getting it open and then wailing until I got up.

BL - Zebedee has got you trained already!! Clever boy. How sad if his owner 'lost' him because of vet bills. What do you think is causing the diarrhoea? If he was hungry at 4.30 am perhaps he's not absorbing his food for some reason.

In dogs, sometimes the chip can migrate - can that happen with cats as well?

Vet not sure but then diarrhoea in cats is so difficult to get to the bottom of (excuse the pun). However he has put him on Metronidazole to see if that helps. He is also on a special diet. Now we just have to wait and hope. If this doesn't help then the next stage is analysing a sample. Oh dear!

Yes Gem. I often think it would help us so much if they could tell us a bit about themselves. He is a lovely boy, very affectionate and loves to sit in a lap whenever he can.
