    My tomboy cat

I love all my cats, they are all lovely. However my heart really belongs to my little tomboy cat. My computer is full of photos of her!
She is a tortoiseshell and white cat, which are known as Calico cats in the states.
She was such a boisterous little kitten especially compared to her delicate ladylike little black and white sister, I actually took her to the vet to check that she wasn't a boy, LOL. He said that breed are almost always female, but checked anyway.

She is so funny and full of personality. She 'talks' to us every time she sees us. She loves people and thinks every visitor is here to visit her. This is quite a problem with anyone who dislikes cats! She 'helps' all workmen, rubbing herself against their hands as they wield the screwdriver

She is now 16, 17 in a couple of months time. She can still climb the loft ladder, and loves going up there with OH. She doesn't run up it as fast as she once did, but she still climbs it easily. She is the only cat I have even known who can climb ladders. She can run up the apple tree too.

I love her very much, and she has been with me though so many life changes and events. DD3 was only 11 when we went together to collect her and her sister (also still alive and well)
I know I can't keep her for ever, but life without this lovely creature is hard to imagine.
She became deaf several months ago. I found this very hard at first and of course she must have. She has adapted really well and is as happy, cute, naughty and active as ever!

Here is a photo of her.

She is beautiful very much like DD,s cat Jasper he's the one that comes home only if he is hurt or sick or maybe passing the door on his way somewhere else , The thing is pets become family so when they leave us its hard to imagine your home without them isn't it
Im not fat just 6ft too small

She's a grand old lady, Gem, and what a great character. It's amazing how two siblings can be so different, as I found with Rusty and Clyde. She looks very young for her age, and sounds very acrobatic, too. Long may she continue to delight you (and you her, I'm sure. )

She's beautiful, Gem. Our lovely cat was nearly 18 when we lost her, very hard to deal with but she'd had a great life and was never ill. We rescued her from the local animal rescue centre and she repaid us over and over. I hope you have many more years with your lovely cat.......can you tell I'm a cat person 🐱

          Thank you everyone

Enfys, she has never been ill. She has never been to the vets, apart from being spayed and inoculations as a kitten!

Lovely pic Gemini. She looks very pleased with herself.😺

She is certainly a character Gemini. We lost our male cat to leukemia about a month ago, he was a character as well, we used to say he thought he was a dog as he used to follow the dog around the garden and used to join the dog walking to the end of our road, very upset to loose him, he was much loved. We now still have his sister who lived with me as they didn't get on but now her brother is not in next door she has decided she has two homes.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

She's lovely Gemini. We had a cat called Lucy for 18½ years, and she was missed terribly when we lost her.

Nan2, we had a Lucy too, a brown tabby who lived to be 19. The longest living of all my cats (so far)
