Certainly hope puss is better today Gemini.
Daisy we tried all the expensive food recommended and it all gave her diahorrea. Good old Chappie suits her tum with Burns kibble. The fat content isn't that much different either.

Gemini, I hope things have improved this morning. Poor little mite.

Thanks Mamar*. She's at the vet today for investigations. Nothing stays down long, so something definitely not right.

Our little Alice is still at the vets tonight.
There is a lump in her intestines, which the vet supposes to be cancerous, but can't know without an op. We want to give her the best chance so he is going to investigate tomorrow. He will phone OH again before doing the op. Presumably to discuss options if when he goes in it is too bad to operate. I can't bear to think I may never see her again.
            Positive thoughts for her please.

OH, Gemini, how worried you must both be. We can only stay positive and hope it's a benign growth of some sort and can easily be removed. Of course I'm sending you positive vibes and keeping everything crossed for her. Big hug, hun. xxx

We lost our little Alice this morning.
The vet found stomach cancer, with spread to lymph nodes and it had also begun to spread to other organs. The kindest thing was to let her go on the operating table without waking her up. Even with an operation and chemotherapy the vet said her chances were very slim. She was still reasonably happy and not in pain these last days, but unable to keep food down. Although we dearly wanted to bring her home for a while longer, we both knew this wasn't fair. She would soon have begun to feel ill and experience pain.
We are so sad. OH is devastated. This little cat has been her companion for years. For many years she was the only one she came home to and cried her tears to.
Tomorrow we will collect her from the vets and lay her to rest under the apple tree. we will plant a rose bush there for her.
                          RIP sweet pussy cat.

Gemini, I am so very sorry you've lost Alice. You didn't have a choice, it was the only kind thing to do and has saved her from suffering a lot of pain. Of course, I know you know that, and I also know it doesn't help much. You will both keep 'seeing' her, and probably calling her name with your other cats. It is especially hard for your OH who shared so much with Alice.

There is a lovely rose bush called Miss Alice.
