Enfys - so much for a nice, relaxed birthday for you, and how awful for your GS. I know how quickly a hypo can come on and it's so frightening. Plus, of course, even when you've managed to get him to take the gel it takes a while to act - about 20 minutes?
You can't help worrying about any further hypos, but did he get any warning? Does he have a self-regulating pump for his insulin - if not it might be worth him asking if he's suitable for one as it regulates the insulin very closely.
