    How are we doing?

We are very pleased with how our members are adapting to the format of the new forum, with patience and good humour, in the main!
The forum is busy and active every day, and this is down to our lovely members
We have a few things more to finish before we can open our doors to new members. New members will keep us vibrant. Our present platinum members will always be very special to us though, as you were with us from the start, supporting us all the way.

So, the question is, how do you think things are going? What are you happy with, and what are you less happy with?
I think some of the earlier problems with PMs have been sorted out now. I am quite proud of YEO. Unlike the one we were used to, we can see what we are replying to, and we don't have to write in short 'batches'!

I think things are working very well, I am still finding out things I didn't know were there. Well done ladies, you can sleep at night now

Am still finding my way around, but after a few setbacks in finding you, I'm happy with the way things are going. Do we have any new members to the forum, or is it still just us refugees?
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

I think you have done wonders getting this site up and running and I think it is very good. I actually enjoy being on here where as on GN it became a place I didn't want to visit or trust.
My only (very tiny gripe) is the chat box , I wish it would automatically open to the last comment and not the first page. I knowI can go to t he last page via the icon In the right hand corner, just me being lazy I guess 😄
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I am getting there, sorry I haven't been as committed as others, had stuff going on (not family, there all fine...) and got confused finding things, had a good look around today, I can see all todays posts but wasn't sure how to find the list of different topics, I will have a look around and hopefully spend more time with you all xx

You've done a wonderful job Admin. I really admire your courage in creating such a wonderful site for us. Your dedication & countless hours spent on this is astounding! I for one can't thank you enough. Logo always reminds me of a stained glass window ...one of my favourite things, as are children's handprints. Thank you so much. 😘

Only problem I have is the photo comments I cant be bothered to rake around to see them I preferred GN way where you could see instantly who said what and other comments its too much off a faff on to find them , apart from that it gets a big thumbs up from me

Still finding my way around but so far no problems. I would like to see who "liked" a post but that's the only thing really. Well done admin on all your hard work

Thank you so much for your lovely comments ladies
WeeGranny, we are not ready yet for newbies. There are a couple of things we need to do before we can welcome in the general public.
Oma, I agree about the photo comments, and about the Likes not being seen, Enfys. You can see who Likes a post by clicking on the number of likes on a particular post. There isn't a list of Likes for each of us as we had before though.

Thank you all for such positive feedback. Admin is collectively blushing!

If we can find anyway round the bits you'd like to be different we will change them. We are still feeling our way gently with the software but it's great when you share anything you discover (good or not so good) because it all helps with our learning curve. For example, I only realised the other day that on the list of posts under New Topics the number of 'likes' relates to the original post only.

Gemini, if I click on the number of likes on my posts i get a little box saying 'no permission'.

Oh! I'm not sure why that is Enfys. I will log in as an ordinary member and see if it is that way for me.

I couldn't see the Likes as an ordinary member, so it must be set for only admin and mods to see. I will look into it
