Gem - I think she was ok, but she came home very tired and pale, and she had some homework which had to be in for the next day which she'd forgotten about over the week-end, and really wanted to do some Maths instead of building an Iron Age animal pen!!! She doesn't seem to operate on the same plane as most 7 year olds!!

GD1's Mum and Dad said she could drop the activity, even though there were only a couple of weeks to the actual performance. So she didn't go. Then the following Monday she said she wanted to go. It was explained she had dropped out and couldn't just go back. 'Oh, no" she said. "I didn't drop out I just said I couldn't go that week." So back she went and enjoyed it better, but by then it was too late for parents to get tickets! Anyway, they managed to get one ticket for last night.
Yesteerday and today they have done the performance 3 times. Mum went to last evening's performance. GD2 absolutely loved being on the stage, and as she said, it was so different doing it in front of a lot of grown-ups. She was buzzing with it after the afternoon performance. Mum said she threw her heart and soul into every second, and now she's sorry it's all over.

That’s good news Daisy.Perhaps she just needed to step back a little and have a breather. That’s life isn’t it,we don’t appreciate the good things until they are gone.
Ladies, what you all say is true, and I'm really pleased she loved performing to a live audience - as I'm sure Gem and others know, it's such a thrill.

Daisy they all learn in different ways she thought she could just knock when she felt she didn’t want to go lol, now she knows commitment means staying with it and it all turned out ok for her, glad she was happy about it
