Here I go again. Today I wanted to add a photo' of a crocus plant in my garden. It's on there now so that's ok. This is a list of what's on there in my media...
1. Posted photographs (18)
2. Flower
3.Christmas knits.
4. Christmas stockings.
5. Trying to get pictures to work.
6. Christmas preparations.
7. Waiting for Spring. (The crocus one)
My main problem is that I want to just have the pic of the Christmas tree in '1. Posted photo's'. When I click on the image of the tree two identical images come on
...a small one & a larger one behind. When I click on the bigger picture at the back the tree is all I get & the smaller image goes. Great! BUT if I click on the larger image right side arrow, (with the smaller image still there) I get the other 17 I want to delete. This is on my mobile which I tend to be on when I'm on GRU.
I've tried deleting these 17 since about 2015. It's really frustrating me now. PLEASE can someone help me get rid of those 17 pictures.😲😨😧Last edited by Nana; 18-01-2018, 10:35 PM."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Nana - sorry I've only just seen this. I've a feeling we've tried to get rid of these before but I'll go and have a look now and come back to you.
Edit:
Nana, I've been into your Media and had a look. I can only see a few of the photos, eg the cake, the royal family pics, the view from your holiday home. The others are just a small blue square with a question mark in it. My theory is that these are photos you have taken from somewhere else - eg Face Book - where a link doesn't work. If they are, say, FB images, you can see them because they link back to your FB page, but other people can't. If they are photos from your own camera/phone - did you copy them straight from phone/camera to your Media? If so that might be the problem. Again, it's a case of a link not able to refer back to the source URL.

Daisy I'm pleased that you can only see those pics. My main concern was the pic with me & daughter. There's an assortment of sources for the pics. Fbk, my own photo's & the internet. When I take a photo' or photo's from WhatsApp that I'm sent all go straight to my mobile pictures gallery. There were also pics I'd inserted into posts on here.
I tracked down one & deleted it successfully in the post but it still showed in my media. Could you tell me what a URL is please? If I need to create an album on here for most of my picks do I just go into an existing one? I'll get the hang of this soon. It's only been 2yrs after all.😂"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

We'll get there, Nana!!!
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It's how the internet finds addresses(names) of files - it identifies a particular file. If you've taken say a picture from a newspaper article which you saw on FB you would need to go back to the online newspaper itself to copy the photo across to say, GRU. You couldn't do it 'direct' from FB. So it's really just a way of locating a resource on the web.
I'll come back to the rest of your query - someone's at the door!!! ...."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Qwerty - I've had a look on your profile settings and can't see anything wrong.
I can't remember whether Plant put her photos in her Media on on her Wedding day thread/Journal. I'll go and check."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Qwerty - If you have "Photos" set to Subscribers non-members/casual browsers can't see your photos. This is how to check your privacy settings:
1 Click on your user Profile (picture of your avatar on the left)
2 Under your Avatar and User Name click on "Edit Settings" (in blue box).. This takes you into 'User Settings"
3 Just under the title User Settings you will see : Profile : Account : Privacy : Notifications. Click on "Privacy". This lets you decide who can see various things, including (next to the bottom on the list) - Photos.
4 Click on the down arrow in the box next to Photos and select "Subscribers" (Subscribers = "Friends")
5 VERY IMPORTANT! Click on 'Save Changes" bottom right of the screen.
I hope that helps! (Like your new avatar, y the way!)

Qwerty, trust us,these 'Guests' are not real people!! They are spambot things. No real guest, as in person can see them.
Daisy and I both have accounts here as ordinary members as well as our Admin ones. We use these to check things like that. We go in to see what a non platinum member can see, and we go in no logged in to see what a non registered member can see.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
