I recently put out a cry for help with cooking red cabbage in the slow cooker. Our very own slow cooker guru, Nanto, recommended everyone's friend, Mr Google, and this is what I chose:

I'm pleased to say it was as easy as they said and the quantities given would feed a small army after a long march! So I popped the left overs in the fridge and they do indeed keep for 3 days. I've just take out what I need each time and microwaved it in a pyrex dish.
I added some nutmeg and a bit extra cinnamon and maybe that masked the slight vinegar taste they mention. Next time I'll add some orange juice and zest - or maybe red wine. In fact, definitely red wine!
