    Leaving Feedback. Do you?

I do unless the item is not good, then I usually contact the seller first. Recently I bought ‘Fresh Discs’ from ‘Must Have Ideas’. These were absolute rubbish and I should have known better. They made no difference to the fruit which is why I bought them. In this instance I did leave negative feedback without contacting the seller. I got an email telling me to contact the seller for a refund and then change my feedback. I didn’t bother. It wouldn’t have been the truth.
On the other hand I bought a hand mixer from Amazon and was rewarded for my positive feedback with 2 electronic scales!!
I do find feedback helpful when buying on line, and I think I can usually weed out the moaners from the truthful.
Do you leave feedback and read reviews?

Yes I always leave feedback , I also read reviews before buying .
Having said that you must make your own mind up as what one person thinks is good another doesn't ,
Its individual taste isn't it , but it does give a idea of what is good and bad .

Grauntie - I try to leave positive feedback but try and sort out negative comments with the company first. I once resorted to giving negative feedback on a company's FB page because there were no appropriate contact details on their website, no phone number, and no address. Their Marketing Director phoned me and apologised, and they changed the company policy which had lead to me complaining in the first place.

Mostly though, I only seem to get standard responses such as "we're sorry, we try our best, we love our customers and wouldn't want to cause you one milli-second's distress etc, etc.

I read reviews for most things and now know that I'm not the only person who finds that 'ripen in the bowl fruit' equals 'stays hard and inedible until it shrivels up and has to be binned' !

I do leave a review now and again, they asked me to give one for the kitchen tap I bought, I did and I was rewarded with a Grohe stainless steel table BBQ!

Sometimes companies can be a bit over-zealous about asking for feedback. A while ago I bought a little stand for my phone. It arrived on time, and does the job it was designed for. The little leaflet that came with it made me check to see if I'd bought the Crown Jewels by mistake - it was so OTT. Then they kept asking me for feedback for well over a month. I got quite fed up with being pestered by them.

I usually leave feedback, as the reviews helped me choose what to buy, and mine will help others!

I know what you mean about pestering Daisy. I do get annoyed when, as frequently happens I keep getting emails to review something I have bought as gift and hasn't been given yet, so I have nothing to report on!

I don't always leave feedback, but I know I should.

While we're talking about feedback, ladies, one thing which always makes me happy is when you click "LIKE" on the FIRST post in a thread. This helps with our 'online' visibility and is something we're trying to improve. "Likes" anywhere in a thread are also great, because we all like to think what we've said has been appreciated by our GRU friends.

And I fully understand it's not appropriate to "Like" some first posts in a thread, depending on the topic.

Please "LIKE" as much as you can. Thank you all. xx
