    My friend

i have 2 close friends now having lost a third 16 mths ago , got a text from one of them yesterday her dad who is in his 80s and was quite well drove and did most of the chores, had fallen on the stone steps of his home whilst carrying the shopping in and so didn’t have his hands free to steady himself, he’s hit his head on a step and is in ICU in an induced coma as he has fractured his head and has a bleed on the brain and swelling to the brain, today she let me know he’s had a stroke and think thats how he fell; later on today they were bringing him out of the coma and he remains stable , it’s like the curse of the friends she is devastated she’s very close to her dad and her mum relies a little too much on the poor guy I’m afraid

Oh Qwerty that's awful , so easy done though ,
My Grandmother did the same thing , hands full of shopping put the key in the door fell back down the stone steps and hit her head , sadly it killed her instantly
I do hope he recovers but at that age and having a stroke too its a worry xxx

Thank you Qwerty - I've been wondering how he is. It's good news that he's moving, but I'm sure your friend will feel much better when he opens his eyes. x

Unfortunately not a good outcome in the end yesterday the doctor told the family that he was unable to swallow, speak or do anything and he passed away at 7 this morning 😢
I am going to the funeral next week of the chap that died at my other friends funeral, looks like another now 😢
