A sad day that will be, is anybody from here going? It’s the day we fly to Spain but I will be thinking of Tizzy all the same

I would go if it were anywhere near here.
It's a long journey for me, and that day is the first Friday I have the GC after their holiday.

I was hoping to go, but that clashes with OH having treatment on his eye.

I’m distressed that I cannot go but DD and the two boys are staying with me that week and it’s a two and a half hour journey from my side of London to Feltham.

Do we send flowers ? What do you think ? or send a donation to a charity in her name but what charity ?

Perhaps ask Norma or Paul via FB?

Have asked Norma ( via Tizzy's FB page) if flowers are to be from family only. Seems to be the trend down here that donations are given to a specific charity in lieu of flowers. Maybe a donation to Time to Shine would be appropriate.
If my DD had been at home, I'd have gone to the funeral, but it's just a bit too far from me.

I’m not a big fan of flowers at funerals apart from immediate family , they are dead within a week, I have always sent flowers to the person who has lost their loved one a week or two later more as a cheer up than anything else and then they can enjoy seeing them ( enjoy not being a good word ) but donations do go to a good cause the money is best used for that to me than flowers

I agree Qwerty I think flowers at a funeral are a waste but I will go with the majority. A good idea about after the funeral but would a man want flowers? It's a difficult choice. I personally think a donation

Yes Qwerty you sent some to me and remembered the anniversary a year later.

I am making some enquiries to see if I could get there by taxi, not a place I would drive to although it is only about 40 minutes away. I think it would have to be Uber, a local taxi wouldn't want to hang around. Never used Uber my self but have an account. Hope it would not be too difficult to get one back, will consult the family.

Does Time to Shine have a dedicated donation page , if so could we perhaps donate there ?
