House Keys

Mimi - when our DS2 moved house at Easter, DIL got several sets of keys cut - one for me and OH, one each for the other grandparents (they're divorced hence a set each) and a spare one. So there is a key for the front door, the back door, the big door at the front of the garage and another for the small door at the side. When I need them I attach them to my own key ring which just has a house key and a car key plus my GRU key fob (of course!) I feel like the keeper of the castle with all those keys jangling around! Nana - no, we're not selling GRU merchandise, but I got a few made up as a trial and gave them to the members who went to Brum last year. I hope mine isn't the only one left!!!

Grauntie, poor Cleaning Fairy
My 2 DD's who have children have a key each to our house, given when the children were babies, so if ever they arrived and we were not in they could bring the baby in. Our friend who lives locally has one too. We keep intending to give the cat/house sitters (2 lots) keys as we always have to leave them somewhere.
I have keys to DD1's house, as I pick up GS every week and usually we go to their house. I keep my mum's keys in the glove compartment of my car, so they are with me when I go down in case I need them. We also have the keys of the friend who has our keys.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
