Reading all these posts, I need a drink, a see bit early though at 9.25 am. I suppose I could pretend I'm on holiday. 😗🌞

Plant - I definitely wasn't frowning at you wanting a brandy after the meal - I was jealous because I knew I was too tired to join you!!!

I actually can't drink much gin - it knocks me out, and it would be so embarrassing if you lot had to carry me back to the hotel! My DS1 is 'into' flavoured gins and he tells me all about the 'new' ones. OH, DS and the GSs stayed in a hotel in Bude a few months ago which had its own gin distillery so I Googled to see if there were any in Birmingham and it seems there are - lots and lots of them. If we go on a 'gin crawl' next time we're there, I will look after you and make sure you get back safely!!! Before joining you at the bar for a nightcap!

Just to keep my street cred up - I can drink large quantities of red wine and not even have a hangover the next day!

Now red wine would give me a headache. Daisy I re-read my comment and it does sound a bit fierce, it wasn't meant to be.

LG - if you feel like one, have one. It's not the slippery slope. xx

Plant - I didn't take it the wrong way, but I do remember feeling disappointed I was so tired and knew a brandy would tip me over the edge!!!

We can turn it into a celebration for Grauntie Mag's 'big birthday'.
