    These grapes taste funny!

    .... so said OH!

On Monday morning he made a quick trip into the village for a few necessities, and I said could he bring some grapes because GDs both love them and GD2 would be with us for the day.

I washed the whole bunch (although they were little clumps rather than a proper bunch) and OH ate a couple and said they tasted funny.

I tried one, and yes it did taste funny.

Then I looked at the label - 'Candy Floss Grapes' Yeuk! I can't say they tasted like candy floss, because I never eat it - I can't stand the texture, so I don't know if they do taste of it or not, but someone must have woken up one morning and said to him/herself "I know, I'll grow grapes that taste like candy floss"!!!!

Daisy, I have heard of these (Possibly on Facebook) They sound decidely odd.
I like candy floss and I like grapes, but don't see them as a combo!
I have never seen them when out shopping.

Oma - I haven't heard of toffee apple strawberries either.

I really can't get my head round why anyone would think either funny grapes or funny strawberries was just what the world needed!!!

Qwerty - I know what you mean. I like porridge-flavoured porridge - but hopefully the LOs are getting some of their 5 a day with the fruit flavoured version.

A few months ago I brought Candy Floss Grapes by mistake and believe me it isn't a mistake I will be making again, they are horrible. The are unnaturally sweet with an odd texture. Yuck 🤢

I must admit I do find it strange changing the colours of vegetables. On Monty tonight there was an old fella growing black tomatoes.🤗
