A bowl of hot rice pudding with a crumbled up digestive biscuit for me. Yummy.

Well I don't know what "junket" is, or "pikelets"....
I only like Tomoto soup if I am eating tinned soup, I like the Lidl one, I have to tear a slice of bread up and let it soak in it, then have a slice to mop it up....I do prefer home made but would have tinned if I want something quick and easy....
OH popped into the shop for a uncut load and also brought in a cherry pie, so heated some custard up and had it for tea, we all enjoyed it, I think it was his eyes bigger than his belly, when seen them on the freshly baked counter...How does a child spell Love..........T.I.M.E

In North Staffordshire pikelets are more like North Staffordshire oatcakes than crumpets. They are very much a local thing, smaller and thicker than oatcakes and very yummy.
Junket is made with milk and essence of rennet. It has the consistency of egg custard but my auntie used to make it in different flavours, making it look a bit more like blancmange, but still very smooth and less sweet.

I love staffordshire oatcakes, don't see them much in the south. Yes I remember junket, I think it was good for poorly tummies can you still buy it? I also remember when we had coughs and colds, my mother used to roll small cubes of butter into sugar and put them on a saucer by the bedside. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
