    Comfort Food

All I have wanted this last week (chest infection) is Heinz tomato soup. No tea, no coffee, just water to drink and tomato soup. When DDs were at home their comfort food was chicken noodle soup.
What makes you feel a little better?
I remember Mother making me junket when I was small, I thought it the best thing ever.

GM - I loved junket. My auntie used to make it because it was a sweet my diabetic cousin could eat, and my mum never made it - no matter how often I asked!

My two comfort things are Weetabix with warm milk - and maybe a splodge of jam, and warm Ribena if I have a cold.

I hope you're feeling better. xx

Oma - adding a blob of jam to the Weetabix and warm milk is .... mmmmmm, yummy! Very childish and comforting.

Tomato soup for me too,, a glass of hot lemon barley with a spoon of honey if I'm feeling cold. (Not together!). When I was very little my mother used to give me bread and hot milk with a sprinkling of sugar, lovely. But I'd probably hate it now

I love soup but not keen on tomato, my brother used to love bread and milk with sugar on top. My favourite comfort food is fish pie. If I have a cold I like honey and hot lemon plus a brandy

Heinz tomato soup for me also or possibly a cup of oxo with broken up white bread soaked in it. DD1 is always very independent and hates to ask for help but I know she is feeling really bad when she asks me to maker her some chicken soup! x

Heinz must be very happy during cold season!! I make my own soup, but like many of you , when unwell Mr Heinzs tomato or chicken is what I want.
(does anyone else like Heinz chicken soup cold, or am I just weird ?: D )

Gem I often have spaghetti, mac cheese, rice pudding, cold straight out of the tin! And yes I thought that, with all the new makes and varieties on the market, we still like good old Heinz.....
