    Fish on Good Friday?

I'm just wondering what you will all be eating tomorrow, Good Friday. Fish, I know, is traditional, but how many people still follow that irrespective of whether they attend church or not.

And will you be baking your own hot cross buns?

Mum and dad always had fish on Good Friday and mum still does. If they came to us on that day, as they did some years, I would cook it. We don't bother ourselves, although we do love fish and eat a lot of it.
Thomas the baker had sold out of hot X buns when I called today, so none for us this time.

I grew up in a Catholic family/community & so yes, no meat allowed. As I grew older & reasoned/questioned my religion I can say I no longer share the Catholic beliefs. So tomoro our meal depends on what we find in the fridge/freezer etc. 😳

Hubby isn't a fish lover so we will be having risotto.

I used to make hot x buns. It don't any more. DH fancied some so. Ought them at the supermarket. Out to lunch today so not sure what we will be eating. If we were eating at home it would depend on what we fancied.

Husband doesn't like fish, I can occasionally get him to eat fresh tuna but he still turns his nose up. we will be having Ham egg and chips tonight because we adee Way from Monday and I bought some fresh ham, if we don't eat it soon it will be wasted. Tomorrow we will be having pie and mash and sunday we are having lunch at Ben's. Monday we will be off to Stoke MandeviLle Stadium for the start of the mayhem.

Good Catholic girl Minny that's the way! We always take it to the next level! Because of my upbringing I had a horror of meat on Good Friday, now of course being a veggie I don't eat fish either, which leaves me with the delicious hot cross bun.....

We are having fish to-day but not for religious reasons really it has just become a tradition I have bought a couple of nice trout and will stuff them with salmon and wrap in foil and bake, then serve with new potato's and salad,I bought the hot cross buns from M&S the ones with the chocolate bits in (very scrummy) I did make some but they never lasted very long DSs made short work of them when they came for tea last night.

Salmon here tonight only because it's quick and easy and I'm knackered.
Plant, I am very impressed. No point in me even trying as I am no baker!!
