What would you write to your mother?

There is a brilliant piece in today's Guardian that made me cry, laugh and boil with anger.

Readers were asked to write a letter to their mothers and some are published here:

    http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandst...rs-day-letters

It would be good to share our thoughts and write that letter which, for most of us, will be too late.

Oh my goodness. The link doesn't work. It's in today's Guardian in the Family Section. I found it on their website and copied the link exactly.

Minny, I'm not sure you can actually copy Letters from Newspapers? I've tried before and it didn't work.

I had two mothers, one natural one adoptive. I would write completely different letters to them both. But first I will have to think how to compose them.

I can't understand why the link doesn't work. It should take you to the relevant page and enable you to read it online.

I too would need some time.

You left me at 3 months old, in the pram in the back garden You could at least have taken me to my grandparents, who lived next door but one.

Oh, gosh, Nanto2girls, this sounds very sad indeed. My mother had to let me go but she didn't abandon me like this. You have a story to tell us, one day, perhaps?

I will tell my story for anyone that is interested, but I don't have time just now.

Good topic but I need to think before I post.

Nantoto2, when you have time and are ready we would love to hear it. You could post in in the Relationships section, or in YEO, the more private area.

Posted in YEO, think you might be bored, before you get to the end of it.

Nanto 2 girls, no, definitely not boring. It's a heartwarming story of loving grandparents, an a totally inexplicable tale of a mother who could treat her little baby so callously.

I would have to think about what I'd write to my mother........ It's a difficult one.

If you click on the link 'life' when you click on the link above, it will take you to the page where the mothers day letters are.

Do read them, it's well worth it.
