Hi Daisy pleased time meet you. Thank you for the welcome. It is such a lovely forum.
The Bob Dylan song is called ‘soon after midnight.’ It’s taken from an album called ‘ the tempest’ released in 2012. Its from his later catalogue of work rather than his early work. I like both early and his music now. Hope to get to know you better and chat some more x

Pleased to meet you, too, Fairyqueen - I've found it!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I hadn't heard of the album, but if this track is typical I need to get up to date. I loved the instrumental in the middle - it sent tingles down my spine.

I'm glad you're enjoying joining in with all our lovely grannies.

Good morning Grauntie Mag. Nice to meet you. You have your hands full with 4 grandchildren! How nice that they will all be living near you soon. I like crafts and gardening like you so we have that in common. Enjoy your day and thank you for the welcome! X

Good morning daisy! I’m glad you found it, it’s such a dreamy song. Get the album you’ll love it! There’s a brilliant last track about the Titanic that’s just wonderful. Bob is so good at telling stories! His later stuff is just sublime! X

Fiaryqueen - thank you for that. I must admit he's slipped under my radar with his later work. I can see I'll have to get listening. By the way, we've got a music thread - it's under Interests and Hobbies - Theatre, Cinema, TV and Music. It would be lovely if you put links to any music that is special to you. You can either add it to "Nostalgic Music" or make a New Topic for it. It's so good to share music, isn't it.

Can’t believe I’ve just found this! It must be senior moments X 10.

I too don’t post as often as I would like, but life and duties seem to get in the way.

How lovely to welcome a new member, and I think I might have commented on your CD thread!

I have four grandsons aged ten, nearly seven, nearly six and two. The first two are our son’s boys and the younger two DDs. We look after DS’s boys two days a week, and when DD and her husband lived with us for 18 months, looked after their eldest a lot! They’ve moved to the south east coast now and since lockdown it’s been a sadness not to see them much. But I know it’s the same for everyone.

I’m Chair of the board of trustees at Mencap which keeps me busy and very involved with my church and lots of community groups which I love doing, but like lots of people I find that my energy levels are not what they were. Hence my rather limited posting on here. But I’m still with you all in spirit.

Anyway, a big belated welcome, and I will try to look in more often.

Sum1 - it's lovely to see you when you have chance to post and great to catch up a little.

I had to read the fourth paragraph twice - I can't believe your GS1 is 10! Where on earth did those years go! You're certainly keeping busy, but with your long walks I think your energy levels are still right up there.

Hello Sum1 thank you for the lovely welcome. I am very pleased to meet you. Your 4 grandsons must keep you busy as do all your community groups. You sound as if you have a lot more energy than me! One of my grandchildren is two and though completely adorable is the reason my energy levels are not what they used to be. 😁Wouldn’t have it any other way though!
