    Sports anyone?

I was wondering if any of you take part in sports?
This was prompted by my OH asking if any of you played golf, and her wondering if any of her golf friends would be interested in a grandparents forum.
We sort of decided that in general those who are into sports are not greatly into online things such as FB and forums, and vice versa.
    Maybe you know differently though!
I know we have members who play bowls and swim and do Pilates. I myself enjoy aquafit classes and swimming. None of these, with the exception of the bowls I suppose, are sports as such.
    I await the results

I used to do more sporty things, badminton, keep fit classes, tennis and tried golf but preferred a good walk . Nowadays, because of my dodgy knee, I just stick to walking and swimming. Used to love line dancing too but daren't do that now, all the twisting and turning plays havoc with the old knees .. But on the wii i do it all, golf, tennis, ten pin bowling, running.....the list goes on. But I'm not actually moving much 😆

I don't have a dodgy knee or a dodgy anything else for that matter but my squash playing days immediately followed by an hour of aerobics, yes ladies one after the other, went Ooh about....mmmm let me see ........... Probably 25 to 30 years ago (sticky out tongue face) and is never going to return, well that is unless there is a miracle hanging around waiting to happen!

I do loads of exercises usually at least once a day, repetitive one's as well.Usually like this, but I swop hands occassionaly so I don't get to muscle bound in just my left arm.

Spent as many PE lessons as possible on Bexhill Downs pretending we were practicing our javelin throwing. Guess health and safety would have something to say about that! Not that we were in any danger as I don't remember a single javelin being thrown!

I have to admit that in my school days I was very good at hockey. I trialled for the England school girl hockey team. Didn't get an offer which I wasn't surprised about to be honest but then at the time my parents were arguing about the expense they would have to go to if I did get through so not a lot of encouragement from there. Wouldn't know one end of a hockey stick from another these days (red face)

I quite like the idea of sport. I just don't like doing it! I was rubbish at everything at school except swimming which didn't really count when glory was being handed out. I've tried a few things, tennis, table tennis, squash, golf (once! well maybe twice) but they all involve small round objects moving in directions I can't predict!
