So infuriating! Really hard when you psych yourself up for an operation. This is something that patients should be advised of very early on! Hopefully your nurse can come up with some helpful advice. Xx

Noooooo! I've just come across this Oma. I'm really sorry to hear this. Like everyone else I hope the nurse can help in some way.
(obviously this was seen after I'd PM'd you, sorry).

Oma - I wouldn't have thought about what you'd eaten at the week-end would have such bad repercussions for you. We all tucked in and enjoyed our meals didn't we! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that's all it was and when you see the nurse on Friday your blood sugar will be OK. Perhaps it's as well you didn't have that martini!!! xx

Well back from seeing nurse , all my meds have been sorted and stronger ones given , got to wait till December then have it tested again before can go back to Hospital as it takes that long before Meds give a true result ,
Said its definitely not my diet causing it just I'm not producing Insulin as effectively as I should .

Glad you've got something sorted out Oma. It can take a while to get the right level of medication. Ev n now after all, these years, DH still has to have, things adjusted from time to time.

Oma, I know you're really fed up with being in pain, but at least they are working to control your blood sugar levels. I hope the stronger meds does the job and doesn't have any side effects. xxx
