My first OH was hippy type No beard but lovely waist length hair, bell bottoms, cheesecloth shirts, tie dye, platform shoes, army great coat and long Dr Who type scarf. I think my mothers eyes almost popped out of her head when I brought him up north to meet them

Not sure what growing beards has to do with lock down but love it. You will have to send pics of your hippy OH's.

Plant - I don't have any picture of the days when he had shoulder-length curls - by the time we met he was working in a 'proper' job and had short hair and wore a suit! Growing the beard for lock down was just because he felt like it. Our GS2 dyed his hair red just for the sake of it, and DS1 also grew a beard. It must be something about the men in our family.

I'll have to take a photo of OH to show you the current beard!

Looking forward to that Daisy. Being a lot older than you ladies I was bringing up my family when the Beatles arrived on the scene. Must have been quite startling for your parents when you took your boy friends home for the first time. If we ever get to meet in Birmingham again you will have to bring pics. Any thoughts about that happening this year?

Oh I really hope so Plant! It's just a bit tricky to plan anything until nearer time when we know how the land lies.

Same here, Plant, it would be lovely if we can, but we'll have to wait and see how things pan out over the summer I suppose. I feel a bit like your GS3's university tutor - I doubt if things will be back to normal, but hopefully we'll have some sort of 'normal' and can get together.
