A friend recommended a local salon for a Japanese manicure. No varnish, nails treated with vitamins and oils and buffed. I made an appointment for this afternoon. I arrived, was asked to take a seat, and there I sat, and sat and sat for 15mins. Three assistants chatted with each other and fiddled with their phones. I was asked if I wanted a drink and told that the assistant wouldn’t be long. In the end I had to say I could wait no longer as I had somewhere else to be and I had run out of time.
I have to say if I had treated a client in this way I would have expected to be out of a job by the end of the day. I have a sneaking suspicion the owner wasn’t there though.
I was fuming to say the least but I just got my coat and left.
Was I being petty? What would you have done?
