    Jo Malone handwash/shower gel

I love the Jo Malone grapefruit shower gel. It smells divine and lasts for ever.

I am not normally in the Jo Malone price bracket and have never bought myself one of her candles , at £50 + each.

However - my auntie has the grapefruit gel as a bathroom hand wash. She had liked it at her DS's house once and her DIL bought her some, and has again since. Auntie has no idea how expensive it is!
I love it so much that in the 2020 lockdown I decided to treat myself. We had few enough pleasure then didn't we, and to smell that every morning was lovely and gave me a little lift.

Expensive it may be, but it really lasts a long time! My OH prefers soap so I have it all to myself. That first bottle must have lasted me for over 2 years. Last June I put it on my birthday list and was given some more by DD2. The level seems to have hardly gone down despite being used most days since last June. I use it unless I have a bath or am away.
I keep it for the shower, I use much cheaper liquid soaps as it's too nice to waste like that!

I just thought I should praise the product for being good quality and long lasting. The other scents will last the same I'm sure, but this is the one I use.

That would be no use to me Gem, I can't have anything with a perfume in at all, IF I have to walk round Ikea I have to run through the area where the scented candles are, I was talking to the lady in the office where I do the coffee and she has exactly the same, she said I am the first person she has met with the same problem! She was saying how often she gets hand cream etc from a satisfied "customer" and it always has to go to someone else, it is the same here, I "won" a complete box of shower gel, shampoo etc from the postal code lottery, that went to DIL1 along with the rest of the creams etc. Even shampoo I have to be very careful which I buy, no perfume added etc. M next door makes me creams and ointments, she sometimes forgets I can't have them so they go back, she knows now though, she will go through of a list of the ingredients until we find the one I am allergic to. At the moment I use 100% Shea butter for my lips, I have no problems with that.

      What a shame Lizzie.
My OH cant stand to walk past Lush. I myself would happily live in there
I have quite a strong sense of smell and love beautiful scents (and hate bad ones!)

I can’t stand lush the smell gives me a headache, There and the Body shop.
same with incense,Lillies, and some plug in air fresheners .

I do like Jo Malone and I find Molton Brown lasts forever too,
I do use Body shop Camomile make up remover butter , but the shop stinks .

I tend to stick to either Johnson’s baby bath or Nivea and dove shower wash if I don’t have Molton Brown.

I think your right to treat yourself Gem if it makes you feel good why not😁

Gem, I agree with Oma - you're right to treat yourself, and it doesn't even sound like a luxury when a bottle of shower gel lasts so long.

My skin is very dry and reacts to a lot of products and a long time ago I settled on NuSkin for most things. They do a gorgeous grapefruit -scented shower gel, but most of their products are fragrance-free. I love their Epoch range for its moisturising and soothing properties. Like Jo Malone, it's not cheap, but a little goes a long way, and I stock up about every 5-6 months.

A friend always uses Jo Malone bath oil etc. I thought I would buy some for a thank you for a weekend visit until I saw the price! I found a cheaper alternative which I knew would be acceptable. At Stansted airport last year I had hoped to buy some small bottles to try but far too expensive.
What a shame. It’s so hard to find toiletries I like at a reasonable price, or maybe I’m just too fussy.

Oma, that was NuSkin - NaPCA Moisture Mist. It is brilliant, I agree. It's great for dry skin and cooling in hot weather. I've been using it on my hair during that very cold dry weather when static was making my hair stand on end, Ken Dodd-style!

Oma, I've only ever had one NuSkin product reaction and it was a lip salve which I don't think they offer any more. (The Sunright one is lovely though).
