Never let me go shopping again I swear I will throttle somebody, went for a jacket how difficult can that be a blazer type thing you would think this is the right time of year wouldn’t you. I went to Debenhams , Next, M&S , Seasalt, Matalan and TKMaxx nothing apart from one in M&S they didn’t have my size no really !!! They used to have a collection called Curve I couldn’t find it in the shop although I had seen clothes online this morning before I left home, asked eventually “Oh we don’t do that now “ , but I saw it this morning “Oh it’s only online” , now most ladies I know that are a little larger than what’s supposed to be the norm need to try clothes on we don’t know what might fit, if your a 12 14 even 16 you have a pretty good idea of size but larger ladies come in all sizes from a 20 to a 30 who knows, so I asked if they have finished doing it because we have all lost weight 🤨 she apologised that they don’t do it in the store gggrrr, went to Evans where I have shopped on and off maybe 40 yrs , it’s not there anymore, went online to see where they had moved to and it said into Debenhams, off I trailed only to find they were here but not now , so I gave up totally frustrated and came home , now I am not massively overweight but have to go for bigger sizes owing to being quite well endowed , if I was younger I think I would have a bust reduction

    yours truly frustrated knockers 🙂

Qwerty - that's a real shopping horror story! How frustrating, and a total waste of time. Funnily enough a few of us were talking about clothes shopping at lunch today and one person mentioned that M&S no longer put all their range in their stores - at lot of items are only available online. Then they wonder why we don't go into the shops!!!

I've never bought clothes from M&S online because their sizing is too much of a gamble!

Even looking for what one would think is a regular type of purchase, can be very challenging. Only the other day I went out to buy some navy blue trousers. I went into M&S and also Next. After hunting through a maze of trousers, I decided to ask the assistant for help. I just said “Do you have any plain navy blue trousers please?” I was greeted with, “Do you want leggings, jeggings, joggers, denim or linen?” I said “ Just plain, navy trousers please.” The closest the assistant could come up with was plain navy linen trousers. They looked like they had just come from a jumble sale. I said “Do you have anything a little smarter in plain navy, please?” She said, “Oh you must mean, ladies suit trousers!” Apparently I did. They had just what I was looking for. I was obviously asking the wrong question!

Sunshine - that's so funny! Plain navy trousers probably don't exist in that shop assistant's world!! Who knew you had to ask for suit trousers!! Still, I'm glad you found what you wanted.

Haha Gem - I must remember that next time I'm befuddled by the coffee options - "just a plain black one, please, you know, like plain suit trousers"
