    Clothes shopping

Back from shopping to no avail just wanted a lilac tunic /top , went in 12 shops , lilac is a spring colour !! Saw a summer dress in Next i liked last Monday new in they said on the model , went to another shopping centre and was going to buy it there but they havnt even received the new stock, I felt like walking down the shopping mall with no clothes on and If someone had stopped me I could have said “when you find something to fit me I’ll wear it “ what’s wrong with the clothes shops today I havnt found anything I like for a long time , oh and if you bought the dress in a different colour it cost an extra £6 it’s the same dress same material 🙄

Qwerty have you tried Next on line for your dress they can deliver next day if ordered before 10-30am,honestly though this year I have not seen much in Next that grabs me apart from their basic t-shirt which I replace every couple of years.

I’ve looked Glam but the size I want is in low stock and the store nearest to us isn’t that near a bit awkward to drive to and park ,Iow in stock but it’s new in can’t believe it

It is frustrating Qwerty! I don't go 'big town' shopping very often, but I was very disappointed when I popped into M&S recently for undies. I had a quick look round the clothes and they were still winter, dreary muddy colours (apart from hard bright yellow or orange which don't suit me at all) and nothing spring-like!

I hate clothes shopping and I can never find what I would like. If ever I do, it’s never in my size. I always want the colour that’s not in fashion though.

Grauntie - I sympathise. They always seem to run out of my size first! If it's that popular why don't they have more of that size and fewer size 6s which what always seem to be on the Sales rail!

Very disappointed with M&S lately, I don't know who they are appealing to now.

I don’t enjoy clothes shopping now and as for M & S, awful in there now. I have been through my wardrobe and decided I really don’t need any more clothes, I have new things that I haven’t worn yet. I’ve sent a load to the charity shop and I’m making sure to wear what I’ve got before even thinking of buying anything new.

Sum1 - mostly in places like M&S, and I'm afraid they are usually bright orange or mustard or some neon shade even teenagers would spurn. It seems the usual choices are some indeterminate mud colour or the horrors I've mentioned. My DIL, who's a size 6/8 has the same problems in not being able to find clothes in her size, but wants classic styles in good fabrics and flattering shades.

I think your M&S must be different to the London ones. I only ever find stuff in sizes 16, 18 or larger on the sale rack. But I agree with you, M&S lost its way many years ago.
I find my nicest clothes at Hobbs or Phase 8. And in the children’s racks at TK Maxx

Sum1Ls when ever I go into TKMax I can never find anything to suit me (14-16) whilst they have a good selection of assessories all set out nicely they seem to be a bit messy on the clothing side of things and the floor resembles a bit of a market place (if that makes sence) I get cross trying to find my size as they never seem to be in the correct section.I love Phase 8 and have over the years bought some lovely bits mainly in their sale.
Our House of Fraser had some fabulous selections but sadly now closed down leaving a massive hole in the shopping centre where I tend to shop.I have not seen anything in M&S which has caught my eye this year at all.
