Sum1 - London ladies must be daintier than us country bumpkins! But wouldn't you think with modern technology they could move stock round if necessary!

I sometimes strike lucky in TK Maxx, but it is a scrum and you have to sort through lots of junk to find the gems. I found an Edina Ronay black suede jacket in there some years ago and it's still going strong.

Nanto - I love Lands End, and is my 'go to' place for everyday things. Generally their sizing is consistent, and slightly generous and the quality is good for the price. Some seasons I find Next quite good, but other times there is nothing I'd want to wear in there!

That's interesting about Lands End sizing Daisy.......I find I've got to order next size up ! I like Joules and I've just bought a denim pinafore and some t-shirts from Seasalt.
I'm always disappointed with M&S and find their sizing very erratic. I used to buy all my jeans there then they changed manufacturers and sizing went to pot! Also their short leg measurements mean that trousers are at least 2 inches too long now! Don't they realise that ladies with short legs haven't grown an extra 2 inches and want trousers that fit without having to be altered ( trousers that is!).
I can never find anything in TK Maxx and can't be bothered searching racks of stuff in the hope of finding something fantastic.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

I buy my jeans from Bon Marche as they have 4 leg lengths! They are cheap, which is of course an advantage in itself, and it means you can replace them regularly

WeeGranny - sizing seems to be a dark art for most brands!

M&S regular length jeans/trousers are sometimes ok for me and sometimes too short. Now I'm only 5' 3" (I kid myself that it's 3 1/2) so how can that work!

          Thank goodness for cropped trousers!!

Gem I only buy my Trousers from Bon Marche , I know I will get the right length and as you say cheap enough to replace regular , There summer dresses are a good length too like those we both bought last year

A few summers ago I bought some lovely White ones from M&S just the right size , I tried some last week and even their short was too long

I find now you cant just go out and buy your size as you find in one shop its fine another its too big or too small ,
I like Klass although bit pricey and I often find stuff in Matalan ,

WG im the same in TK I cant be bothered to rake around I skim over with my eyes and that's it
Im not fat just 6ft too small

I have the opposite problem to some of you ladies, very hard to find things long enough! I’d really like a nice summer dress but so far all far too short. I doo like my knees covered. I’ll keep looking 🤞

I'm another one that always buys trousers in Bon Marche, so i don't need to shorten them.

Rereading this thread, it seems sizing is a big problem, especially leg length for trousers.

Enfys - you're model proportions, tall and slim. If you have trouble finding the right length, there's not much hope for us little ones.

WG - I've never bought from Jules or Seasalt. Are they high street shops or online?

I buy Jules and Seasalt holiday clothes, they are online, I am lucky enough to have JL quite close. I was introduce to them by GD1.

Daisy, both Joules and Seasalt have shops in Cambridge but are on line too. Check their websites to see if they have anything near you.

I like Joules tops. I’ve bought a few online from the Joules clearance site, worth looking as there are bargains to be had. I think mine were about half price on there.

                          Daisy, you’re too kind 🤗

Enfys - what I said is true! x

WeeGranny - thanks. I've had a quick look at both shops online, and by co-incidence I got a lovely Mother's Day gift of a Seasalt scarf and an Air Reed Diffuser for Mother's Day.

Last week I bought 3 tops in Joules for £50 total in their sale online. Where is the Seasalt in Cambridge Wee Granny? I don’t often go into to Town but it’s worth knowing where they are! I mostly shop online. Parking in Cambridge is so expensive and by the time you’re in the car the Park n Ride seems a bit pointless!

Avo......Seasalt is in Trinity Street. It hasn't been open for long. We always use P&R to get in to Cambridge. At least it's free and it saves the hassle of parking in town. We only go in if we're going for something specific these days.
