Well to-day is the start of another day thank goodness thanks for all your kind comments I do feel calmer to-day but still feeling a wee bit down about it all its a good job John is so calm he has been great to say the least.
I can't praise the Companies involved enough for all the help they left the bungalow neat and tidy and moved everything back into the bedroom, what they have said is if the legs on the pine furniture does not dry out to their satisfaction they will order new wardrobes and side cabinets for us.

This morning we received a letter from United Utilities giving us the name and e-mail address of the lady dealing with our claim so they are on the ball in that respect.
I had a good sleep last night and feel better to-day after having a melt down yesterday afternoon I just crumbled and poor John didn't know what to do I felt so sorry for myself after putting 6 machine loads of washing out of the chest of drawers through the machine again, just got to dry everything now the tumbler is on constantly.
ZIZI uhooo When I complete the list of damage for the lady on Monday Johns friend has said we much account for all the extra charges we will get for the big dryers from electricity board and also for inconvieniance is this correct as I have never experienced anything like this before and how do you calculate a costing.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

I have to ring the Utilities Company this morning and speak to the person dealing with the claim they are certainly on the ball as Plantaholic has said, everywhere has dried out from what I can see and just damage to the frames under my bed and the bags I had stored in the wardrobe where the burst occurred so I should get some answers to-day as to how long before new flooring is fitted.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Glamm, I’m glad everything is drying out, but someone (possibly the loss adjusters but I’m not sure) should send someone in to test that everything is properly dried out. Plaster or wood might feel dry to the touch but a meter is more accurate. Have you taken photos of things that have been spoilt like your handbags and OH’s new shoes.
I dont blame you you for having a melt down in the fac3 of all the work you have had to do with washing etc. Take care of yourselves. Xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Daisy the Company that United Utilities sent to remove all the wet carpet and wood flooring took photographs of the damaged items and got me to price them for replacement like for like I was worried as I never had the receipts with having them for so long but they have said not to fret about them.
The Company who are fitting the carpets have been this morning and let me choose what I want and to be honest the carpets they showed me are fantastic quality and the wood flooring is oak where as the one we had was laminate so we are very pleased they are going to arrange to be here next week to refit for us.
The Company who left the dryers are back tomorrow to make sure everything is dry so will just have to wait and see what they say.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous
