    Candles

I'm a big fan of candles the girls in my family always know what to buy me and if I have been really good and it's a special occasion they buy my favourite Jo Malone candles they are so expensive but absolutely gorgeous smell and do last a looooong time, the other week I bought from a local warehouse type place candles and there was an offer on, so I decided to try a couple of scented ones. I usually go for a floral or a c*******s smell but the one called "Honey Buttered Rolls" sounded appealing...in an edible sort of way.

It's gorgeous; the whole house smells of newly made cakes! I just hope Mr Q isn't disappointed when I light it tonight , and finds that it's a candle, not home baking! The make is Prices candles

Are you a scented candle person? If so, what perfumes do you choose?

At the minute I have a tall Yankee candle in a glass jar my SIL bought for my Birthday its Soft Blanket and although its lovely I prefer something that smells of Jasmin or Freshia a soft floral one , I do have reeds too the one in the hall is Sweet pea and everyone who comes in comments on the lovely smell , This Yankee candle is going to last forever so I just have to put up with it till it goes ,

I use a Scentsy wax warmer. Safer than candles and you can get beautiful fragrances. I have Satin Sheets in the lounge, a lovely fresh slightly floral smell, a lemony lime one in the kitchen and a lavender/floral in th bedroom. I use a Yankee candle in the bathroom and they last for ages,

I don't have a sense of smell so I don't have candles, sometimes people buy me one and I use it but don't buy them unless I am told it is a good smell. It is the same with perfume, I ask my DD or DIL to choose one for me.

I love scented candles.Like Mr Mimi, my hubby thinks they are a waste of money.
I usually buy Yankee candles, but i there is only about four that i can smell. I have reeds in the bathroom.
For the back porch and downstairs loo, i use Air Wick automatic sprays. The ones with the aerosol cans.
In the summer i don't bother with them much, but do use a lot in the wintertime.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I totally love scented candles. Yankee Candles are one of my favourites, No one loves me enough to buy me a Jo Malone candle
I like a variety of scents. I love those 'food' one like the one you described Qwerty.
I like all the Christmassy ones, and fairly light subtle scents.
Sadly, I share a house with someone who only likes very subtle scents, so that influences what I buy. I do sneak in a lovely strong Foodie one once in a while though
I burn lavender candles for my work. Sometimes lavender and lime, which is a lovely smell.

I have a 'Daisy' Yankee Candle in my kitchen. I'm not overly fond of it (I bought it myself, so no one else to blame!) so it has been consigned to the kitchen window sill.

I love scented candles but OH usually asks what the horrible smell is! Had a special one to get rid of unpleasant cooking smells that worked really well and even OH didn't complain.

About thirty years ago ago we took the family to Florida and the girls kept picking up candles and smelling them! Eventually a sales lady asked what on earth they were doing! It seems scented candles hadn't arrived in Florida so it must have seemed very odd!

I'm a scented candles fan too. I haven't heard of your make Qwerty. I choose Yankee candles. There's a gorgeous one I stock up on at Christmas, but only in the small size, night lights. I use my favourite Christmas holder for them. My favourite jar one is Lilac which I think isn't made anymore.😣 I try to burn it sparingly.

Has anyone every used the cooks candles (you can buy them from Lakeland) . They are supposed to cover up the smell of cooked onions, fish etc , personally I don't think they really worked any better than leaving the kitchen window open.
