    I can’t see Nanto2’s pic!
In just the four days I was away many plants have taken a leap forward! The acer is now red, and the skimmia is is still looking good. Rhododendrons about to pop as well as the ceanothus. Sweet peas still going in at night. I just want them planted out! All veg will be late this year I fear, only the onions and the fruit are planted out. 🙄

      I can’t see Nanto’s pictures, says I’m not aurhorised!

My wisteria has loads of buds and a few actual flowers too. A clematis, Josephine I think, has lots of buds to, Robinia (I think that’s right, not too good on names) really bright red and lots of other things bursting into life.

I'm so sorry you can't see Nanto's pics. Gem and I are trying to sort it out, probably something to do with some back office settings. xx

We think (and confess we don't know why) that only admin and mods can see pics which are posted in most threads. HOWEVER, others can see them in Chat. This hasn't always been the case, and we haven't changed the settings.
We will try to get to the bottom of it if we can.
Thank you all for your patience!!

On the subject of not being able to see photos - I've posted a photo under "GrannyMary" as a Platinum member. It's in Official Gransrus Area under "Photo testing thread". I'd be really grateful if as many of you as possible can pop over to it and say if you can see the photo. Many thanks.

Back to gardens - our neighbour's Clematis Montana now has a lot of flowers open - it's beautiful. Our lilac seems to have come into leaf almost overnight, and lots of buds. I'm still having to cover tender plants with all these frosts. My runner and French beans have finally shown signs of stirring. I need to plant a few more now, another salad crop and a few more tomatoes. I'd like to get a couple of melons started, but I think it's still too cold overnight.

Gem - perhaps the cold has held it back a bit.

The seedlings of cosmea do not seem to be moving at all, I do not have any heat in the greenhouse. I have three tomato plants I am going to plant in a growbag today, I hope they take off then as they haven't put on much growth since I bought them. That is gardening for you, expect lots of disappointments. At least the greenhouse looks tidy now.

Plant - I think the generally cold weather for the time of year, and especially the frosty nights have held a lot of young plants back. We had a couple of days of frost-free nights recently and my tomatoes put on a growth spurt. They're in a heated propagator, so you wouldn't think it would make much difference, but it seems to.
