    Everything goes at once!

As I have mentioned previously, we needed to replace our washing machine. The replacement we bought didn't fit (we didn't know the depth until we took the old one out, the night before the new one was due to be delivered) We have bought a replacement which fits. Unfortunately we have to wait another week for it. We are taking washing round to our friends to do.

While all the kickboards are up in readiness for the new machine, we realised that our dishwasher is leaking. If the boards were not up it could have been long time until we noticed so it is good thing really.
Out we go tomorrow to look at dishwashers.
With the roof above the bay window which leaked in the storm and needs replacing, and the washing machine, hopefully this third thing is the end of it!

I am having a similar problem Gemini. Having had some jobs done, I now need a plumber.

Gem, as you say, hopefully that's the three things, but what a good job you spotted the dishwasher leak before it caused even more serious problems. I heard a tale today about someone who ignored three separate leaks in their kitchen for ages and eventually the kitchen floor collapsed. This was back in November. They've just now got a useable kitchen installed again.

Gem, always goes in 3's, or so they say! It is a good thing you found the dishwasher was leaking, as Daisy said, it could have caused problems.

Gem, good job you found out about the leak.
Hopefully that's your 3 things done with.

Fortunate indeed Gem! Don’t even imagine the disaster it could have been! It’ll be ten bob to come in to your house with all the new stuff! 😆

Well some good came out of bad , just think if you hadn't known about the leak

We have a plumber coming on Wednesday we have a leak under the sink in the downstairs loo , B tried tightening the fixings but its not working its running down the pipes from somewhere and dripping on the vanity unit floor , so a small bowl is catching the drips for now ,

Grauntie we will only be able to look through the windows us common folk , she will be too posh for the likes of us serf's

I need a plumber and a double glazing person. I have a drip from my shower, very annoying, a cold radiator (yes I have bled it, no air), handles on DG windows not shutting properly and three small windows blown. Must get onto it on Monday.

Plant - we've just had someone come round and adjust all our windows - they do need a bit of TLC at times. We also had a blown window in the kitchen replaced a while ago. It was quick and easy and I don't think it was expensive.

Oma - I'm sure we'll get GRU discounts on tours of Gem's posh house! Won't we, Gem?

Gem - what kind of scones, please? Just so I can anticipate.

A selection. Cheese scones, plain scones, cherry scones and fruit scones. Butter, jam and clotted cream.
