I've loved this long hot summer, so I'm not complaining about having to carefully water so many plants in the garden. As soon as the sun comes out our garden bakes dry, so it's been an uphill task to keep most plants alive.
Last night it started to rain.
This morning the patio is flooded and the paving squelched when I stepped on it. The drains are overflowing and so are the water butts.
One good thing - yesterday I planted a tiny conifer and some house leeks in the rockery and forgot to water! Nature's done it for me.
How are other people's gardens doing?
