Sadly, several houses and cars in village were treated to a new coat of paint last night by some of the village youf. Such a sad ending to what seemed to be a very happy night for the little ones. Hopefully they'll find out who did all the damage.

WeeGranny - what a shame - sheer stupidity and loutishness! It makes me very cross! I hope they find out who did the damage, but even then they'll probably just get a telling off. I'm not a "flog 'em and hang 'em" person, but mindless damage like this is totally unnecessary and I think if the perpetrators are caught they should pay for repairs.

There are a lot of fireworks displays due to take place tonight, but if this storm doesn't die down I can see them being cancelled. I'm going to do all the usual things to try and calm Eva down, just in case any of our neighbours are hell bent on setting off their bangers etc.

It is so sad when total idiots use something like this as an excuse for vandalism

Our cats don't seem too bothered by fireworks, but we will be home tonight anyway to look after and distract them.
