    The Official December 2016 Thread

I think you all know I think we should start preparations for the C event around 1 December.

But I was in Waterstones today and did a double take over the display of 2017 Calendars. The horror must have shown on my face because a member of staff came over to me and said, very apologetically, "yes, I know it's early but some people are buying them already". She tactfully avoided the C word!

I will be writing my Christmas cards soon, usually get them all written during August.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nooooo Nan2...although I have things to make and should start soon. Other than that I will be avoiding any thing to do with it until Daisy gives the go- ahead.😉

In The Range they have had a C.......s display for a couple of weeks. Ok, it's for people to make cards etc but still, in August! However, I have made a couple of presents, a big crochet blanket and cushion for DD, a big project so wanted to get it done . Otherwise, 1st December is fine for me, still enjoying summer ☀️

          Long live Summer!!

Nanto - how on earth do you remember where you've put them. I'd lose them between now and posting!

GM and Enfys - I think we must be a very small band of the 'Don't mention the C word until December' brigade! But it's great to know I'm not alone.

As I said on another thread, I bought my Christmas Cards and calendar when I was on holiday from the Lifeboat Station

I can perhaps understand the calendar as if you are a person who likes to write things down rather than using technology some appointments etc.and holidays need to be entered for next year. Aside from that I'm in NCTD (NoChristmasTillDecember"club.

They've been advertising C*******s dinner bookings in local pubs for quite a few weeks now. I must admit I walked past and then walked back to check that my eyes weren't deceiving me! We did try to book for Christmas Day lunch last September and couldn't get in any where!

Oh dear, I had a relapse . Bumped into a couple of friends today and they mentioned they were going on a C...........s day trip out for lunch and entertainment. It sounded very good so when we came home we booked it.! But if we'd left it we wouldn't have got in, that's my excuse, but that's as far as it goes.

I'm sure it won't become a habit, young lady.

I have several Christmas presents already and I have decided on a case of good wine each for my family which I will buy from my wine club (Naked Wines is the one I am with, let me know if you want to be referred as I would get some form of reward and so would the person I am referring). I have found their wines to be 99% absolutely to my taste and their delivery is excellent. I cannot stand waiting until the last minute and having to go to the shops when everyone is pushing and shoving. I am sure I would get some bargains closer to Christmas but I just cannot be bothered with all that stress.
