We stopped doing stockings for our DSs and DILs when the GC started arriving. When the GSs were smaller we'd do sacks for them but now they're older their main presents seem to get more expensive, so it's a main present and some bits and pieces - games, books etc. I always have some silly toys for the table for Christmas dinner - keeps the adults entertained!!!

I have bought a table cover with pictures to colour in for the smalls end of the table. I'm hoping it will keep them at the table instead of under it. 😁

I have ordered a book for GD , a board game for GS and a sandwich toaster for DS paid for using my Tesco vouchers. At the moment they have the offer on where the vouchers are worth double so those three items cost me nothing. Lovely Jubbly !
Yesterday while my GS was at my house my DD wrapped all her Christmas presents. She also has a colour coded spreadsheet thereby avoiding repeating presents year to year!!!!

Gemini- could she come and spend a few days at our house and get me that organised, please?

How are you Christmas preparations coming along? I know some of you have your tree and decorations up, cards written and presents wrapped. Others (mentioning no names *Daisy* ) will have barely started.
I am somewhere in between.
Christmas cake made, mince pies made and in freezer. About a third of the cards written. Most presents bought, but none wrapped. Decorations down from loft but nothing up yet and tree yet to buy.
The fact that I have to do my mums Christmas shopping as well as my own makes it harder!
I have a couple more things to get on her behalf, and presents for all 3 SILs. I find men hard to buy for! DD1 and I are going halves on SIL2s present, so I'm not sure which of us is getting it!!

Well, most of the presents are bought (but not wrapped), all cards to Europe have been sent, but none to England. Cake done. Mince pie to do later. Meat bought and in freezer. Decorations are out and one room has been done this morning. Can't put up tree until hubby has finished decorating the sitting room. English cards to be written and sent. So a bit like you Gemini some done, some still to do.

All done except a few extra cards which will go through an internet card website which is offering 50% off if you order 5 or more, and is lovely and easy to do and really doesn't cost much more than buying them and paying for expensive stamps! I got 7 to OZ, 2 to NZ and 3 to Canada plus the USA for much less than normal so I am delighted.
DD had promised NOT to bake one of her delicious cakes this year because she gives us too much and we sit here and eat them and then wonder why we are fat!
Not fond of mince pies but do love a Heston pudding once a year. Good old Waitrose (oh heck is that advertising) . Everyone's presents are wrapped and labelled. Roll on 2016

We have 3 birthdays before Christmas, not easy. I have nearly all mine, not wrapped yet. Cards written and will go in post tomorrow except for the local ones, we have a scout delivery to ones in village. Christmas bits in the loft still, Sil will get them down for me, probably next weekend. My son and dil are having a new kitchen dining room and as yet the windows are not in, the floor isn't laid, they are having to eat off their laps atm. The builder assures them that they will be done but not the kitchen equipment. At least they will be able to get their dining table out of store in time. They are hosting a curry party for 30 on Boxing Day, all homemade by DS. The one saving grace is that they still have their old kitchen.

I have started, Gem!!!
I've done 2 days shopping this week, and have written quite a lot of cards so OH can post the overseas ones tomorrow. I haven't got main presents for the GDs yet, or GD2's birthday. But time is marching on and tomorrow and Tuesday are GD2 days, Wed morning the dentist and the hygienist and I need to get everything done before the children break up from school. We've got the GSs staying the week-end before Christmas, plus a lot of entertaining over Christmas.
The dining room has been used to store some treasured junk of OH's and will need a very thorough clean. I've washed the curtains from there today, but no idea where OH is going to put the treasured junk. He's promised to get it out by next week-end.
I've been putting it off, but today I've cleaned out the 'dog cupboard' in the utility room and OH will take a load of food, treats, toys, brushes, harnesses, leads, bowls etc to the Dog Rescue tomorrow. So not actually feeling very Christmassy at the moment but it's good that I'm so busy and can't mope about!
