I was lucky enough to be able to watch my GS2 in his nativity play at 5pm yesterday.
It was the Key Stage 1 production.
He had the role of narrator. He chose this role himself. He is a good expressive reader and talker and hates dressing up, hence his ideal role
I know he is my own so I am biased, but I have never heard a better narrator. So clear and with so much expression. There were some rounds of applause at the end of songs which they hadn't had at yesterday's performance apparently . He wasn't expecting it, but like a professional he waited, smiling until it died down before speaking. My little star!
As he will be in Key Stage 2 next Christmas there will be no Christmas play, so it was lovely to see this one.
I was with his other gran (who sadly had dementia now) and grandad. We, with GS, got totally lost leaving the school, finding locked doors everywhere, and 9 year old girl had to rescue us As GD went to the same school it is hardly the first time we have left a concert after school hours!
In our defence this is a new headmaster, the old one would definitely have made it clear how we were to leave at the end of the performance.
