Clothes shopping in younger age shops

I like H&M and dare I say it, Primark! Incredible bargains especially for people on (very) reduced income as us "retirees". While these shops are aimed at the younger age group,I've seen lots of older people browsing and purchasing in there. I've got various jackets/shawls at the same price of one M&S or similar...

Slight change of subject but Elisi mentioning Acquascutum prompted memories of when OH worked for them as a cutter, very skilled work.

Lovely outfitters Clover, especially in days gone by. Beautifully cut and made. Worth buying on Ebay still. Ann Harvey was a subsidiary of them when they began which is why I still have most of their clothes bought from 15 - 20 years back!

              Well done Plant, thank you
This is the 2nd lot of advertising this week! I will delete this one from our members list. Shev is very beautiful, but it will be a long time before she is a Grandma

Slightly off topic (sort of). Instead of feeling old in a younger age shop, today I went into a shop that made me feel young! EWM - they had a good variety of jumpers, tops etc in a very good range of colours - and I'm quite sure I was one of the youngest browsing round. I bought a very simple cotton jumper with a round neck, in a much larger size so it's baggy and long to wear with skinny jeans etc.

They have some nice things in there Daisy! OH thought it was all tartan kilts until I persuaded her to look in there one day. It's not populated by the young and trendy I must agree

What I liked about it is there are lots of clothes in really cheerful colours. Most shops seem full of black, beige, cream, black, dark brown, black, and even more beige. Winter's dreary enough without wearing camouflage!
