Nanto2girls's post about the new coin made me think of change and cash in general.
I never have any do you?
Before the pandemic I used my card for some things but all smaller shopping was done in cash. I regularly withdrew cash from the cash machine. The when I started to do mum's shopping she liked to pay me in cash so I used that and rarely drew much out, using what she paid me.
At this moment I think I have 20 pence, and a pound coin in my car for shopping trollies!
I keep meaning to get some cash for smaller purchases. I just got out of the habit during lockdown restrictions. Even now some places don't want cash. The pool at the leisure centre will only take card payments, even for a single coffee.
