Avo - I'd need pokers and still wouldn't get it finished. Every so often I fancy doing a bit of knitting - and bit is the operative word. I do a few rows and then get fed up. Now if I get the 'urge' I go and lie down in a darkened room until I fancy doing something else instead.

I made the blanket and cushion for DD for Christmas and the other blanket for myself. Crochet grows so quickly

I love this thread. I think you're all really talented. I've done quite a bit of crafting recently but I can't get the pics to load on here.

Mimi - thanks for that. 4 needles and circular needles sound really difficult.

Enfys - what gorgeous colours, and they look very professional. Now if I could get results like that I would be very tempted, but i know it's not that easy.

We have our Victorian Christmas market at church next weekend. A group of us have met in the church several evenings last week and this to make paper indoor wreaths to sell at the market. We use a silver cake board as the base then using rolled cones of paper, we use a glue gun to put two rows round the board. The cones are made from photocopied Christmas carols in different colours. Then the centre is filled with baubles. They are very effective and colourful. Similar ones can be found on Pinterest

Millie they sound really lovely. What a simple but effective piece of craft. I wouldn't mind one of those myself. Good luck with your Christmas Victorian Market. The knits look wonderful. I really like the stockings too.
