This is the clutch bag I made yesterday from some lovely leather I took from a briefcase I found whilst out with the GCs. There were several, all battered and empty in the shrubbery by the church behind my house.I have lined it with some silk from a sample book I was given.

Grauntie - this is fabulous! It looks totally professional, and I love the beautiful lining. Did you do the embroidery as well?
It was worth all the damage to your fingers, and there's not a drop of blood to be seen!

Thank you for all your kind comments! Honestly, it was easy, just fold up and sew. I did it on my normal machine but with a leather needle and a ‘walking foot’. This foot has extra feed dogs so nothing slips or sticks. The embroidery on the lining was on there. The samples were from a furnishing firm.
I couldn’t find anything suitable for the binding so I had to make do, and the flower inside is not quite central but I will still use it.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.
