Grauntie - good luck with the hand stitching. I recently bought a pack of assorted needles because mine were going rusty and there was a leather needle in the pack. It looked a fearsome weapon!

I shall wield two at a time Daisy, one back and one front, but first I think I need a special hole punch. I inherited a lot of sewing stuff from grandparents via parents and Aunts, I seem to have needles for every event, even sails!Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Mimi - Lady Bracknell's "A Handbag" came up as a question on the Chase this tea-time! In my head, Grauntie's clever creation has become Lady B's handbag now!Originally posted by Mimi View PostGrauntie I can hear Lady Bracknell saying “A Handbag “
Its beautiful Grauntie, you are very creative

Grauntie - we still have sail needles from our days of dingy sailing - there always seemed to be bits that needed stitching back together, but OH used to do it, not me!
I don't understand how you can have one needle for the back and one for the front - don't the needles have to go through the leather, so the back comes to the front and visa versa?"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Grauntie - that's a narrow escape. It could have been a problem with a whacking big needle in your hands.Originally posted by Grauntie Mag View PostThanks Plant, you have saved me from getting my knickers in a twist. 😁
