It is GD and GS2 day today.
I was to be on my own with them, as OH was due to play in an away golf competition. However, due to waterlogged conditions that course is closed and the match cancelled, or postponed.

This half term isn't a very good one for outdoor activities and finding indoor ones to suit an 8 year old girl and toddler boy isn't easy!
We may stay in, we may go out. I shall report back

Gem - I'm sorry S's golf has been cancelled, but at least if you go out there will be two pairs of hands on the reins, so to speak. I hope you have a good day whatever you do.

The age gap is difficult. We've found the same with GD1 and 2 and there's only 3 ½ years between them. It's getting less as they get older, and I'm hoping by the summer holidays they will do more things together.

We didn't go out yesterday, but we had a nice day
In the morning GS played, GD chatted to us about her horsey day the previous day, and then watched some of her programmes on Netflix. We all had lunch, then after a couple of stories GS2 had his nap. He has a cough and cold so didn't sleep quite as long as usual, as coughing woke him up, quite miserable. Cuddles, Calpol and Peppa Pig soon sorted him out. During her brothers nap we played Scrabble and Uno with GD. She had never played the adult version of Scrabble before, and never played Uno, but did really well in both. Pizza and ice cream for tea , more playing for GS and a little Tablet time for GD, then time to go- 2 happy children and a good day!

Well done, Gem - everything went very smoothly, but I hope GS2's cough and cold are soon better. Well done to GD on playing adult Scrabble, and getting on well with Uno.

We took our littlies to get some new chickens to add to the flock. Each gs has named his own chicken....we have baby, berry and Molly!

Avo - that's so sweet. When our sons were that age they used to love going to collect eggs and watch 'the girls' when they were visiting their uncle. They were always the best eggs in the world!
