We had ours on Thursday, it was a lovely sunny day, so we walked the dogs in the wood opposite our house in the morning, then we had a bonfire and did garden jobs followed by a trip to the park. Finishing with playing in the garden again. The two smallest boys went home first so we could do some more adventurous play with the bigger ones. We were very pleased to have had them, and the local pub cooked dinner for us!

Qwerty - glad you enjoyed your trip to York. It's lovely to go out as a family, and easier on us grannies.

Avo - what a busy you've you've had, but I'm sure it was lots of fun. Did the boys enjoy the bonfire? Our GS1 used to love going down to the allotment with us - provided we were having a bonfire! To be fair he was always very sensible around it, and kept a careful eye on it if he thought we were being a bit too casual about it. You deserved dinner out after such a busy day.

Gem - What are you doing for half term - anything special with the GCs?

Gem - we find that - when they are all together they make their own entertainment and finding somewhere to take them they would all enjoy isn't easy apart from the beach or a jungle adventure (in the Forest). But even that is losing its appeal for our teenagers.

I bet your 3 will love having a day at your house, playing and being spoilt by Grandma.
