It’s half term and my brain is frazzled and it’s only just gone 10am.
GD1 greeted me this morning asking for some sums to do. GD2 wanted to paint. I challenged GD1 to learn her 15 times table and wrote it out for her, with calculator in hand. GD2 was using new pots of paint, each one needing opening and a ver messy inner lid removed - that was was job, plus changing water, supplying kitchen roll and finding somewhere out of Cooper’s reach to dry each precious artwork as it came of the production line. By then GD1 wanted a more interactive maths game. One she’d played with her Dad. Doubling numbers, so, 2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8. Etc. Apparently she can do this to over a million. Out comes the calculator so I can keep up!
GD2 finished her masterpieces and went off to clean the paint off herself, and Cooper found a tiny rubber ball to choke on. I managed to stop that, washed the ball and returned it to GD1. By then GD2 was fairly wet so helped her to get dry. Then GD1 wanted to know what the square root symbol meant. I Googled it for her - my maths isn’t up to getting to the root of anything, Then removed Cooper from the dining room table where he was trying to drink the paints. Then sorted out the tv which GD2 wanted to watch but the tv insisted it needed to do updates.
Ive bought a few minutes peace by dishing out chocolate to the girls and am playing ball in the garden with Cooper. 😰😰😰
