My GD1 has a group of really good friends at school, and one of them is a little boy. She's very fond of him, and he has told his mum he's definitely going to marry her when he's grown up.
This week the commercial influences of Valentine's Day have reached both of them. With a little help and co-operation from their mums, they arranged to meet in DS2's shop at 9 am today. They had each got/made cards and little presents to give to one another.
Last night her daddy was chatting to her about the little boy, G, and asking what she likes about him. Her reply was he's kind, he looks after her if anyone tries to bully her, he's always there for her, and - he's reliable. (She's 7!!!) but he is a very sweet little lad and they are clearly on the same wave length, but are quite competitive at school - they both like to be top.
