Valentine's Day in the Junior School

My GD1 has a group of really good friends at school, and one of them is a little boy. She's very fond of him, and he has told his mum he's definitely going to marry her when he's grown up.

This week the commercial influences of Valentine's Day have reached both of them. With a little help and co-operation from their mums, they arranged to meet in DS2's shop at 9 am today. They had each got/made cards and little presents to give to one another.

Last night her daddy was chatting to her about the little boy, G, and asking what she likes about him. Her reply was he's kind, he looks after her if anyone tries to bully her, he's always there for her, and - he's reliable. (She's 7!!!) but he is a very sweet little lad and they are clearly on the same wave length, but are quite competitive at school - they both like to be top.

Gosh they are very similar they could be brother and sister, many people go on to marry their childhood sweethearts who knows, but they make a lovely couple.
Our eldest who is also 7 got a valentine card from her friend L they enjoy each other’s company she also got a bar of chocolate, whilst we were looking after her she wrote him a letter thanking him no prompting from me, she has some notepaper we bought her at Xmas to get her into the way of writing letters especially thank you letters the paper has flowers and fairies round the edge don’t know what he will make of that lol

They are sweet, although daddy has said neither of the girls will be allowed out of the house until they are at least 35! LOL

Oma - other people have said she's like me, but I can't see it, apart from always having her nose in a book.

Qwerty - they are soooo sweet, and what big hearts they've got.

The nursery looks beautiful - what an amazing space to play and learn in.
