When I picked up GS1 today, as he thrust his class photo in my hand he said 'I'm sorry your cat died, I even cried!' I told him it was fine to cry when people or animals we love die, as we miss them.
The next thing he said was 'I have never seen that T shirt before! Did you get it on your holiday?'
It was one I got in Provincetown, Cape Cod several years ago. I answered that No, I did get it on a holiday but in America, not my recent holiday.
He was amazed. 'You have been to America? ? Did you see anyone called Ryan?' (Little boy on You Tube who tests toys) I said I didn't meet anyone called Ryan.
He then turned around to notice a girl in his class and her mum. 'My Grandma has been to America! And she is wearing a T shirt from there!' he shouted to them.
I think he would have liked to gather the whole school together and make an announcement
