    Grandma's been to America

When I picked up GS1 today, as he thrust his class photo in my hand he said 'I'm sorry your cat died, I even cried!' I told him it was fine to cry when people or animals we love die, as we miss them.

The next thing he said was 'I have never seen that T shirt before! Did you get it on your holiday?'
It was one I got in Provincetown, Cape Cod several years ago. I answered that No, I did get it on a holiday but in America, not my recent holiday.
He was amazed. 'You have been to America? ? Did you see anyone called Ryan?' (Little boy on You Tube who tests toys) I said I didn't meet anyone called Ryan.
He then turned around to notice a girl in his class and her mum. 'My Grandma has been to America! And she is wearing a T shirt from there!' he shouted to them.

I think he would have liked to gather the whole school together and make an announcement

Lol kids are funny you wonder what is going on in their heads .
When my eldest was about a year old we said we were taking her to the park, put her in her pushchair and off we went, when we got to the bottom of the street she was well asleep , so naughty as we were we just walked round the block and came ho and let her sleep in the garden, when mummy came to pick her up she asked if she had been anywhere , she replied “ yes I have been on the park” she actually believed she had been whilst asleep

When eldest GD was about 2, she asked if she could go to Wakefield with us shopping.
We parked up and got out of the car, then the tears started.
Asked her what was wrong, she said she thought we were going to Wakefield.
Told her thats where we were. No she said,we haven't been on an aeroplane.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I remember the playschool teacher rushing up to congratulate me on the twins I was supposed to be expecting at Christmas! My expression, plus the fact it was February, and she realised she had been had by DD2!

My OH's mother always told the story about my OH, aged 5. It was a Scripture lesson (a church school) and the teacher asked who wanted to go to heaven. All the children put up their hands, except my OH. The teacher was horrified, after all he was the vicar's son. "Why don't you want to go to heaven?" she asked. OH replied "I'd rather go to Rhyl. You can come back from Rhyl."
